Welcome back to the 2021-22 academic year!
The academic year began on a positive note with staff orientation from the 3rd to the 6th of August. This year, the focus for boarding staff is health and wellness initiatives for our boarders. On the 7th of August we had a successful virtual Boarding Orientation. I would like to take this opportunity to welcome seventeen new boarders and their families to our Stonehill community. The orientation provided families with helpful tips for transitioning into boarding. This was followed by an 'Ice Breaker‘ session for the students to come together and share their likes and goals. A big thank you to Wayne and Melanie for organising the activity.
New Staff
Each year brings a positive change, this includes few additions to our boarding division. We are delighted to welcome Boarding Tutors for 2021-22 Ms.Swarnalatha, Mr.Pradeep, Mr.Sathish and Mr. Srinivas. They are excited to be working with the boarders this year. At our first virtual boarding meeting on Saturday, we discussed reopening plans and more options for weekend activities. Based on the students' inputs and suggestions, the boarding team created several options for keeping them safe, engaged and motivated. On the 15th of August our staff celebrated India’s 75th Independence Day on campus. Celebrations started with hoisting the national flag and then singing the national anthem. We look forward to reopening our boarding on the 12th of September for our M4-D2 boarders. More details to follow soon. Stay connected Follow us on Twitter @BoardingSIS. We capture special moments and share information on our boarding programme. Stay safe and well! Glen Johnson Head of Boarding |
